Sri = Magnificent Beauty

There are many ways to work with the Sri Yantra, drawing, painting, coloring and doing rituals with the 3-D Merut or creating the chalk drawings filled with flowers and colored sand and candles known as Siri Jyoti. There is a chant that accompanies the Yantra, specifically the puja that is done to worship SRI - the Goddess. This is called the Khadgamala. Please tune into this recording HERE to hear my wonderful mentor Venu Syama chanting. This chant names the goddesses who reside within this Yantra and culminates with the great goddess Tripura Sundari as Sri Sri Sri who lives at the central dot, the bindu.

The Sri Yantra can be seen in many ways; as a mirror of your physical body, as a mirror of your energetic body; the nadis and chakras, as a depiction of Tripura Sundari, also known as Lalita, as a grouping of goddesses surrounding Tripura Sundari and as a map of the Universe. As such the practice of working with the Sri Yantra can help you feel better in yourself, physically, mentally and emotionally and can also allow you to align with the Universe and Mother Earth herself.

I have been working with the Sri Yantra deeply since 1998 when I met Sri Amritananda. The practice is like the proverbial onion. It gets richer and richer and more layered with every Sri that I encounter. It is my great honor to share some of the discoveries I have made along the way and I hope it in some way makes your life more fulfilled. You are beautiful.

I have made you a PDF hand-out of the steps needed to create the center of the Sri Yantra. This nine page hand-out contains the measurement method for creating the triangles as taught to me by Sri Amritananda of Devipuram. The cost of the download is $10.00. Gates opened or closed? There are many schools of Sri Vidya, the study of this tantric subject. I have worked closely with two different teachers who have taught me the two ways that I share. Tantra is all about experience. Try them out for yourself and see how you feel.

For the colors also the subject is up for debate. Depending on your lineage you may be assigned a certain grouping of colors. We will look at the colors more as I continue to develop this page. Please check back often for updates and let me know how you are getting on.
